Digenivah I was surprised with tickets to the Boston show, about half an hour before it started. It was brilliant! Absolutely the best live show I've ever seen. The lights, the music, the visuals, the performance as a whole- absolutely on point. I drives me nuts to know I've got to wait another long time to go to the next one! If anyone is considering, or not considering going to their show when it hits your town, just do it. Spend your whole paycheck. DO IT.

LuluRose The 2010 Boston "Gorillaz" show was the best show I've ever seen. Seriously. No fan-gushing in that statement at all. I brought my sister to it, who was a casual fan before the show, not having much knowledge about the "Gorillaz" concept and their catalogue. She was blown- away by how outrageously original and creative the entire production was--from the imagery by Hewlett, the costumes, the props and of course, the performances; "awesomely authentic" was how it was put by her. And you really feel this quality in "Gorillaz"--that this is genuine creativity at work, not some shoddily manufactured attempt at it--while watching the entire production; something that began as a cheeky, ironic meditation on assembly-line music and celebrity, has exploded into this parallel world of make-believe, one that's more "true" than the often distorted and sneering one we see around ourselves, everyday. It's refreshing. I looked around at the other fans and we kind of looked at eachother with an "Ahhhh. THIS is what we were missing in our cultural decay. Tomorrow is going to feel much brighter..." sort of look. Oh--and another thing: See this production LIVE if you can. Beg, borrow and steal to see them--well, don't steal, but re-arrange your piggybank if you must. Wash some cars and sell some blood. It will be worth it. Seriously. I'm usually one to take or leave live performance, but this was different. An experience you can't reproduce at home. It felt like the mad-cap, elvin masterminds behind it, became more possessed by the muse as they planned the performance and it grew into this super-production of sight and sound and film and costume and--it felt like an endearingly neurotic overachiever went way above and beyond, and still wondered if he should do more (ahem, statement not directed towards anyone in particular, of course). The show was totally electric, full of music and they just kept giving the audience more and more. "Gorillaz" certainly aren't stingy with their effort, energy and performance. And Murdoc, darling, you were FABULOUS.
