Gorillaz are set to take their Escape To Plastic Beach World Tour to Australia & New Zealand! Following a week of hints from Murdoc all week on Twitter it’s finally confirmed that the band will hit the continent in December 2010!

Gorillaz fanclub, Sub Division, will benefit from advance priority ticketing (full pre-sale details will be confirmed shortly).

Gorillaz have played in front of more than 400,000 fans this year alone headlining Coachella in America, Glastonbury in the UK, Roskilde in Denmark and Benicassim Festival in Spain. They of course also played private rehearsals for some lucky Sub-Divisioners in LA and London! This week Gorillaz become the first major Western band to play in Syria when they play the ancient Citadel in Damascus on July 25th following a sold out show at the Byblos Festival in Beirut.

Join Sub-Division now for pre-sale on the new Australian dates http://gorillaz.com/Sub-Division

aimeesmum
aimeesmum Well, here we are.....7 days since we found out our tickets to the Glasgow gig were worthless. Still really pi$$ed off at how we were "told". Can't tell you how gutted we were, looking down all these extra dates to see Glasgow, Newcastle & Milan are cancelled. Still no explanation. Still no apology. This is unprofessional and to be frank, just plain rude. Yes, we still love the music. Yes, if they advertised another Scottish gig, I'd buy more tickets. Proves we are more loyal than Damon et al were/are to their fans. As I've said before, I'm not mean enough to begrudge anyone else their great night, but advise none of you to get too excited til they are stood on stage in front of you. As I've already stated, I think the decent thing to do would be to give a free piece of band memorabilia to all those who have had their gigs cancelled. Ticketmaster have our addresses. An apology and an explanation costs nothing but would mean a lot. it's just good P.R. & good manners. Sorry for repeating myself, but until we get some acknowledgement, I don't see what else we spurned fans can do.
