LewisBee To be honest, I don't actually think the "World Tour" is that big. Sure theyre going across the globe, but theyre not doing many shows (I think that there is about 40 shows altogther). To give you an idea of what I think is a BIG tour, here is David Bowies entire tour history; ZIGGY STARDUST TOUR: 182 shows. DIAMOND DOGS TOUR: 73 shows. ISOLAR and ISOLAR II: 141 shows. SERIOUS MOONLIGHT TOUR: 96 shows. GLASS SPIDER: 86 shows. SOUND + VISION TOUR: 108 shows. OUTSIDE TOUR: 95 shows. EARTHLING TOUR: 83 shows. THE HOURS...TOUR: 8 shows. MINI TOUR: 4 shows. HEATHEN TOUR: 36 shows. A REALITY TOUR: 113 shows. I think Gorillaz should take a leaf out of Bowies book.

gorillaz_gal Thanks again for ruining my birthday Gorillaz! I really appreciate you disappointing myself and many other fans. It made my day of course finding out that the concert I have longed to go to since I was nine years old and bought tickets for was cancelled with no apology or explanation. It has just proved how much they really care about their true, die-hard fans doesn't it? I was soooo looking forward to this gig. I could finally see my favourite musician, Mr Damon Albarn, on stage playing the first real music I ever listened to and loved. I suppose this means that my dream is not going to get realised seeing as the Glasgow gig was the only gig in Scotland and the only one I could possibly go to in the UK! Its been a whole week since they announced the cancelled gigs and I still feel no better about it and we have still recieved no apology or explanation, the way they are treating us is appalling and just goes to show how much the fans mean to the band when against the possibility of more money! Well thanks again Gorillaz for your wonderful support and consideration you put into the cancellation of this gig, I appreciate it! Its only my Birthday you ruined! Thanks again! Ohh that reminds me...Where in the world is my Stylo car its been over the eight weeks since they said they would be ready, just another disappointment from my favourite band it would seem! Thanks Gorillaz, you've made my year!

aimeesmum aimeesmum Well, here we are.....7 days since we found out our tickets to the Glasgow gig were worthless. Still really pi$$ed off at how we were "told". Can't tell you how gutted we were, looking down all these extra dates to see Glasgow, Newcastle & Milan are cancelled. Still no explanation. Still no apology. This is unprofessional and to be frank, just plain rude. Yes, we still love the music. Yes, if they advertised another Scottish gig, I'd buy more tickets. Proves we are more loyal than Damon et al were/are to their fans. As I've said before, I'm not mean enough to begrudge anyone else their great night, but advise none of you to get too excited til they are stood on stage in front of you. As I've already stated, I think the decent thing to do would be to give a free piece of band memorabilia to all those who have had their gigs cancelled. Ticketmaster have our addresses. An apology and an explanation costs nothing but would mean a lot. it's just good P.R. & good manners. Sorry for repeating myself, but until we get some acknowledgement, I don't see what else we spurned fans can do.

SiberianMau @xhollehx That's what I said. You don't have to be in love with the management or how it works to like the band. I'm well aware of the fact. My wording was a bit hasty. Nevertheless, my message there was somewhat more directed to people who have been talking about how much they love Gorillaz and how long they've eagerly awaited a show. Many of the angry comments have been from people saying how much this meant to them because they're die-hard fans, I get the anger, but some are turning out full on hatred.

xhollehx @Catfisha- I think people will get 'bored' of ranting once they've had an apology/the whole situation sorted out. Until that point is reached Gorillaz and their management will have a whole lot of angry fans to deal with. @SiberianMau- People have been bitching at the management xD Which is why I am currently awaiting a phone call from them. But you forget that not everyone adored the Gorillaz to bits in the first place, a lot of people who go to gigs aren't always die hard fans- so they could very easily be put off a band that can't live up to expectations when it comes to gigs and visiting fans. That and a lot of people are feeling betrayed right now by a band that they are/were die hard fans of, hence the anger from them too.

SiberianMau I agree with Catfisha. There is a lot of hate over this, as if this is the first time anyone refused their devoted fans for the sake of money. Gorillaz 'ain't just Damon Albarn and his gang of hapless goons,' (as Murdoc put it, haha) you don't have to love the management, but has the music gotten any worse? I don't think so. I mean, I don't think, 'wow those jerkoffs screwed a bunch of people over' every time I listen to their music. I definitely understand the anger, and it'd be one thing to still adore them, (it would take far too good a person to be THAT forgiving) but let's at least see if they come through with anything more to say.
